The Lord, Christ Jesus when he saw the dead child, daughter of a synagogue official, was moved with compassion. He took the hand of the dead girl and said, “Talita Kumi, little girl, arise! ( ineng magbangon ka!)” The girl, a child of twelve, arose immediately and walked around. Jesus said that she should be given something to eat. (cf Mark 5: 21-43)
TKPFI President Amb. Henrietta T. de Villa has tapped the Mother Butler Guild (MBG) as partners, thereby expanding MBG’s service to heed Pope Francis’ exhortation “to go to the peripheries”. MBG members act as “Love Enablers” second mother to the TKPFI scholars, ensuring that their basic needs are met and their performance in school flourishes amid a supportive and loving home environment.
Mother Butler’s commitment to education was grounded in her belief that “the World never needed women’s intelligence and sympathy more than it does today.”
